For a brief moment this week the everyday planning of our expansion into the mainland paused – the creation of the perfect production book, the securing of top crew, the procurement of the best talent rates, the solidifying of our relationships with key suppliers, the list goes on and the challenges are many.
We stopped to celebrate news of another confirmation for our team on the mainland. The French are coming, with a project that we are very excited about as it is one of those special jobs that are few and very far between.
We pondered over why they chose us rather than any service company?
It will be a question that we will ask at the appropriate time but we would like to think it has something to do with our long-term thinking. Bonds of trust need to exist in our business and they only come if you partner with clients and take a collaborative approach to filmmaking. We have continuously built on this principal for nearly twenty years and perhaps one result of this is that clients are choosing to shoot with us over their previous suppliers in a crowded marketplace.
With this clear in our minds we got back to work on another key challenge for us – letting everybody know that we have arrived in Barcelona.
Editing starts this week on our launch film. As it will be a few weeks still until we can share it with you, here are a few more glimpses of us at work behind-the-scenes in our favourite big city in Spain.
